Goans will be meeting at Lincoln Center in New York
City on Thursday, July 17 for a night of swing dancing.
We will be meeting at the Josie Robertson Plaza which
is at the center of the Lincoln Center campus at Columbus
Avenue between 62nd and 65th Streets. Dance Lessons
are from 6:30 to 7:15 and attendees will learn the
rhumba, foxtrot, usette, and gypsy swing.
Afterwards we will dance to the delightful sounds
of the Café Accordion Orchestra with Charlie
Giordano and Will Holshouser. They describe their
music as "The romantic music of Paris--with occasional
Spanish spice." Tickets are $15 but if we get
enough people we will qualify for a discount. If you
plan to attend, send an email to aldguerra@aol.com.
Young
Goans is an organization comprised of Goan Adults
over 18. The purpose of the organization is to provide
opportunities to meet and network with people of our
background in an informal and congenial atmosphere.
