Toronto hands are the cleanest
From: http://toronto.cbc.ca/regional/servlet/View?filename=tor_hands030916
Toronto - Toronto travellers may be among the cleanest on the continent. A new study says people in this city are more likely to wash their hands after going to the bathroom than anyone in five other North American cities. The American Society of Microbiology examined more than 7,500 people in airport washrooms.
It found that 95 per cent of men and 97 per cent of women at Toronto's Pearson Airport in August washed their hands. That compares to only 59 per cent of women in San Francisco and 63 per cent of men at JFK Airport in New York.
Torontonians were advised to wash their hands regularly during the outbreak of SARS earlier this year.
Hand-washing can prevent the spread of many infectious diseases, including SARS.
