tech billionaire Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande, the co-
founder and chairman of Sycamore Networks, will deliver the
opening keynote address on India's Emergence within
the Global Economy: What does it mean for Canada-India relations?,
when the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada hosts the fourth
annual Asia Pacific Summit in Toronto next month.
The major international conference, scheduled
for October 7th - 8th, has become Canada's premier annual
event about the Canada-Asia relationship. This year, Focus
on India has attracted top business leaders, ambassadors and
senior policy-makers to discuss India's integration into the
global economy and the changing investment environment in
Asia. Dr Deshpande will speak on Tuesday, October 7th at 1:00
p.m. in the Regency West Room. Four Seasons Hotel, 21 Avenue
Road.
