Friendships made in 1956 were renewed at a luncheon
meet in Toronto after 45+ plus years.
The meeting was spurred by the return for Architect
Braz Menezes to Canada after an absence of 28 years
in the US with the World Bank. Those attending with
their spouses were the first students of the newly
opened Technical College, now The University of
Nairobi, and came from Kampala, Dar es salaam, Mombassa,
with a handful from Nairobi itself. Their professions
covered architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical
and industrial engineering, and though most are
retired, the record of the service, achievements,
and awards, are astounding and will be displayed
in forthcoming issues of www.goanvoice.ca
