Summer Jobs Programs
McGuinty Government Gives
Young People Job Skills and Experience
TORONTO, Feb. 20 /CNW/ -
Ontario has a range of summer job opportunities for
students, through
Ontario's Summer Jobs Programs. The Summer Jobs
Service (http://www.ontario.ca/summerjobs)
offers students free self-marketing and job search
services, and offers employers a $2-per-hour wage
subsidy to encourage them to hire students. These
programs are open to students aged 15 to 24 years
(up to 29 years for a person with a disability) who
are planning to return to school this fall.

programs, working-age students may:
Last year, the
McGuinty government helped more than 86,000 young
people find employment during the summer break.
