Indo-Canadian
family escapes crash
http://www.southasianobserver.com/topstories.php?cid=79
Pictures
captured by an Indo- Canadian tourist of a mid-air
collision of two aircraft in US, have become much
sought after. A sightseeing helicopter and a small
piper aircraft collided and crashed in the waters of
the Hudson River Saturday in New York and New
Jersey.
The pilots of both the helicopter and plane, along
with seven on board both, nine in all, are reported
dead.
Indra Singh of Ottawa on a sightseeing tour
considered going on the ill-fated helicopter but
changed plan when she found the $150 charges too
high. Singh, her teenage daughter, Sonia, and her
grandson, Shalon, ended up taking a sightseeing
cruise instead as they watched the chopper's
terrible midair collision. Singh captured it all on
camera.
The photographs showed the two aircraft, one white
and one dark, breaking up against the clear blue
sky. |
