Fernandes, Orillia (formerly of Nairobi/Kenya), passed
away peacefully this day 30th December 2009 after a
long battle with cancer.

Visitation
will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.Rosary and
the Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be said in the
Parlour on Sunday evening at 6:30 PM

West St. N., Orillia on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10
AM.
Fernandes; Cornelio Noel
(retired longtime employee of Zurich Insurance
Company) passed away peacefully at his home on
Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in his 81st year after a
valiant battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Noel
of Orillia, formerly of North York, was born in Goa,
India, lived in Nairobi, Kenya and London, England,
died with dignity, peace and trust in Jesus Christ's
Mercy. Loving father of Blanche, Glenn (wife Rosanna)
and Konrad. Survived by their mother Theresa (Mary)
Fernandes of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Alisha.
Dear brother of Felicia (predeceased), Leo (wife
Carol), Theo, Anthony, Ralph (wife Trudy), and Proto
(predeceased). Sadly missed by all of his nieces,
nephews and brother & sister-in-laws. Fondly
remembered by his many friends and the parishioners of
Guardian Angels Church. Special thank you to all of
Noel's caregivers, Dr. Roland Sing, the ALS Society of
Ontario and especially Dr. Aaron Barnett for his
special attention and care. The late Mr. Cornelio Noel
Fernandes will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79
West St. N., Orillia on Sunday January 3, 2010 from
2-4 & 7-9 PM. Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
will be said in the Parlour on Sunday evening at 6:30
PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the
Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N.,
Orillia on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10 AM with
reception to follow. Spring Interment St. Michael's
Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to
the ALS Society of Ontario, the Canadian Cancer
Society or Don Bosco Society would be appreciated by
the family. |
