Joaquim
Monteiro, born in Cortalim, Goa. May 19th, 1908
Lived and worked in Mombasa,Kenya, and in Manor Park
London.Died, today February 11th 2010, Feast of Our
Lady of Lourdes, same day his mother died. At the
Newham Hospital, East London, surrounded by his
family.
A tribute of Love from his sorrowful wife Maria, and
children Celine/Lazarus, Therese/Leo, Francisco/Thereza,late Hilary/Lisette, late Maggie/Jess grand
children, Mark, Malcolm, Cassandra, Domenic, Leo and Trixiebelle.

Funeral Services took place on Monday February 8, atSt
Joseph’s Church at 11am. 200 Morrish Rd, Scarborough,
followed by burial at Pine Hills Cemetery

MORAES, Jennifer Lynn - Peacefully, surrounded by the
love of her family, at her home in Burlington, Ontario
on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, Jennifer Moraes at the
age of 34. Beloved daughter of George and Carmen
Moraes. Cherished sister of Timothy (Denise) and Susan
Moraes. Loving aunt of Marcus. Jennifer is also
lovingly remembered by her many aunts, uncles,
cousins, friends and her dog Abbey. Jennifer was a
Registered Massage Therapist in the Burlington area
for many years.. Funeral Mass celebrated at St.
Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 2261 Parkway Drive,
Burlington on Friday, February 12, 2010 Cremation
followed, by a private interment.

LILLIAN MARY SALDANHA 1911 – 2010
Mother of Archbishop Lawrence Saldanha (Archbishop of
Lahore, Pakistan),
Our
beloved mother passed away peacefully in her 99th year
on February 9, 2010 in Richmond Hill, Ontario. She was
the cherished wife of our father Lawrence Saldanha
(1992) and a loving grandmother of 21 grandchildren,
35 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great-
grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her 7
children and their families: Beryl (late Lance
Mendonca), Mavis (Jose Antonio Yturriaga), Desmond
(Angela Fernandes), Lawrence (Archbishop of Lahore,
Pakistan), Eric (Norine Pinto), Shirley (late Fred
Zuzarte), Audrey (Fernand Gauthier).
Funeral service held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at
11 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation, 97 King Road, Oak
Ridges, ON. Interment and a memorial service will be
held at a later date in Montreal.

Melba DeSouza
MELBA
DeSOUZA After a courageous battle with cancer,
Melba passed away at the Dorothy Ley Hospice on
Saturday, January 23, 2010. She was surrounded by
her family, husband Norbert and her two daughters
Gillian and Karen. Melba was an exemplary wife and
mother and leaves a legacy of faith and love. She
will be greatly missed by Norbert, Gillian, Karen
(James) and her two devoted grandchildren Jaden and
Devin, as well as her large extended family and
multitude of friends. Her memory will live eternally
in our hearts. A Celebration of her Life will took
place on Thursday, January 28, 2010. at Sts. Martha
and Mary Church, 1870 Burnhamthorpe Rd. E.,
Mississauga, ON.
