This year, Goa has a double celebration coming up. First, it is the Golden Jubilee year of its liberation from Portuguese occupation. And second, the state has emerged No. 1 among high-income states in the competitiveness survey. Out of the 12 sub-parameters, Goa topped its group on seven, although it was No. 1 in only one of the four main parameters.
