Having been overlooked on two separate occasions, prominent South Trinidad medical practitioner, Dr Austin Trinidade, says he was “pleasantly surprised” after learning he would be conferred with the Public Service Medal of Merit (Gold) at yesterday’s national awards ceremony at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s.

With time-of-use prices, the price of electricity will depend on when you use it. There are three different time-of-use prices – 5.9/kWh for off-peak, 8.9/kWh for mid-peak, 10.7/kWh for on-peak.

These prices are reviewed every May 1 and November 1 by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB).

DHNS: The Union Home Ministry recently added Christians and Buddhists to the list of Indian-origin minorities in Pakistan that would be allowed long-term visas (LTVs). Only Hindus and Sikhs were earlier entitled to this privilege.

Karachi in Pakistan may not be on a Goan's list of foreign cities to migrate to.
